• Bounce Rate - the percentage of single-page visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Ideally, a bounce rate under 40% is desirable.
• Conversion - a conversion occurs when a visitor reaches a goal established for your website inside Google analytics. The conversion goal could be reaching the Contact Page or other URL, or setting a Time on the Site goal, or a Pages per Visit goal.
• Hit - a hit is just a request from the website to the web server for a file. The "hit" is not a measurement of how many people came to the website. It is a term used to measure web server use and loads.
• Impression - a display of a link or advertisement on a web page.
• Landing Page - the first page a user views when they enter your site.
• Pageview - Google Analytics logs a pageview each time the tracking code is executed or the page is loaded in your browser. It has nothing to do with the times a person "sees" your page.
• Unique Pageview - total pageviews that are generated by the same person during the same session.
