Web Design for Ten Park Lanes

by Wesley Farnam - Sep 26, 2014

Charlotte web design company The Idea People is proud to announce the launch of RollTen.com, the brand-new website for Charlotte's Ten Park Lanes. Ten Park Lanes is the Queen City's premier upscale bowling alley, a place where locals come to enjoy the three B’s: beer, barbecue and bowling.

"Park Lanes is an iconic entertainment venue in Charlotte and has been a community gathering spot and cornerstone for more than 55 years," said Jay Joyce, president of The Idea People.  "Every time we have the opportunity to work with historic and well-established brands, it gives us an energy boost to create a web presence that is unique and to express their story in the most creative manner possible."

The new creative web design combines '50s Americana with Charlotte's nightlife scene, capturing the vibe of a retro bowling alley, cosmopolitan cocktail lounge, neighborhood pub, and rockin' live music venue – all in one. The site's navigation is broke up into very simple, definitive topics:

PLAY – An overview of bowling rates and specials, as well as other gaming activities like cornhole, shuffleboard and video arcade.

EAT – Fantastic bbq and food! This section covers the amazing food at the 10 Pen Brew & BBQ Restaurant inside the building, complete with menus and catering information for your next work or social get-together.  Their amazing stacked mason jars will move you!

DRINK – With three full-service bars, a cold beverage is never far away. Ten Park Lanes has 30+ beers on tap, with a large selection of local microbrews and seasonal beers. And don't forget their impressive selection of moonshine!

PARTY – The party page provides information on kids' birthday parties, as well as corporate events and private parties.

MORE – This section includes an interactive events calendar, information on bowling leagues, social media and contact info, and "How We Roll," which details the history of Ten Park Lanes and showcases the latest images from their official Instagram account.

The leisure activity of bowling gained unprecedented popularity in the ‘60s, with more than 12,000 bowling centers opening across country. In Charlotte, North Carolina, Park Lanes opened on Montford Drive in 1960, and was instantly embraced by Charlotteans as the city’s hotspot for America’s new recreational pastime.

Today, Ten Park Lanes is more than just a bowling alley. With a full-service kitchen, three full-service bars and a one-of-a-kind chilled moonshine bar, Ten Park Lanes combines the fun of a classic bowling alley with the sophistication of a chef-driven restaurant and live music venue. Featured on The Food Network’s Rebel Eats, their 10 Pin Brew & BBQ is known for serving up the best barbecue in Charlotte, smoked in-house by their award-winning chef.
