For over 57 years, World Finance has been a regional leader in quick, personal loans. With a company initiative to expand to over 800 nationwide branches, they came to TIP to transform their dated web platform into a modern, engaging, and purposeful site.
Our brief was to reimagine their brand by designing and building a new website and technology platform where users are engaged, plus to develop a flexible, secure content management system.

Reinventing the Online Presence
In order to modernize the brand, the new website needed to deliver a spot-on customer experience with engaging content. The challenge was to present information and interactivity immediately upon landing on the home page. Equally as important was the design to include many of their current customers’ activities as a result of their personal loan.
User research proved that World Finance was in a unique position to expand and improve an online offering…better than their competitors.
World Finance collaborated with TIP to further explore their online offerings, including concepts for a new, faster way for users to see important content first, plus the design of interactive module to find out how much money was available for them.
Our designers created a custom layout with a quick search that allows users to locate a World Finance branch in their vicinity, including a custom interactive map showing branches near their location.
Developing a new online application process & payment portal
The World Finance loan process was transformed from requiring the user to drive to a branch, to a robust and fast online application process.
No longer did the user have to wait a day for a decision. The new online application technology renders a decision in seconds, complete with the loan amount and terms. This process is completely automated so human interaction is no longer required.
In addition, the new payment portal meant customers no longer had to mail a payment or visit a branch in person. They now can log in to their account and set automated monthly payments.
Consumer research proved that World Finances’ current and potential customers are on-the-go. TIP developed both platforms with a mobile-first strategy.
This assures that mobile device users will receive the same experience as tablet or desktop users. This life-cycle development strategy has proven to be very successful for World Finance, as they have doubled their mobile traffic…now outperforming their desktop users.
Geo Location Technology
By adding invisible geo-location technology, the website platform can capture the approximate location of the user and pinpoint the branches closest to them.
An interactive map also appears and offers the branch address, phone numbers, emails, and hours of operation delivered real-time. TIP’s technology stack was a combination of React, Django/Python and Docker, utilizing Azure cloud hosting, with extra security layers.
The content management system is WordPress, utilizing TIP’s proprietary technology that enables custom administrative access. This development moves the CMS beyond its normal capabilities and provides additional layers of security.
